Although Sinister 2 continues the story begun in Scott Derrickson’s creepily effective Sinister, it feels more like an unnecessary retread than an organic extension of the original. But it’s still one of the better found footage-gimmicked sequels in recent memory.

wasn’t as good as the first movie but i still liked it, i liked seeing it from the perspective of the kids, i didn’t like having all the ghost children appear so often though and the found footage parts were much worse, i love the deputy tho so i’m glad he was the main character

Awful acting, filled with predictable-dated-cliche jump scares, tied together by what I assume is a plot,
though it feels more like the director just smashed their face on a keyboard and called it a day. Should've really stopped after the first one 🙄🙄.

I liked it but it definitely wasn’t as good as the first one. I think the whole custody plot was a bit random and I feel like they could’ve done more with the detective. The were still good jumpscares but I feel like the jumpscares in the first one were also slightly better/scary

I changed my mind. That Sunday service tape when the rats were eating through their stomachs is one of the most VILEST murder methods I have ever seen. 8/10 but still not that scary tho. I will say, the sequel is much better than the first movie.

It’s a pretty good follow up to the first one but choices were made with the cgi demon children at the end that were like Ard they coulda tried a bit harder

it actually wasnt that bad!! but the detective guy looked a lot like an emoji. it also wasnt that scary but the premise was interesting. also the bad guy looked like morbius. i bet he said "its morbin time" off screen

First one was better, i liked that they were showing us from the kids perspective but like i feel like it wasn’t done that well, especially with the found footage films but it wasn’t that bad..glad they kept the Gyroscope song and so glad the dad died lol

A second Sinister film is already pretty unnecessary considering at this point we already know why the tapes exist and it takes all the suspense away. This was enormously bad tho, especially the kids. Not very scary either.

i expected to like this as much as I liked the first one, despite all the negative reviews. but I didn't. the entire concept was changed and the presence of the children did put an imposant atmosphere on the horror genre, which was ruined.
