Sinister 2

to anyone that saw this at the cobb theater & got pistachios thrown on them— i’m so sorry. i couldn’t open the bag so i put all my strength into it. it was too much. i’m so sorry.

Although Sinister 2 continues the story begun in Scott Derrickson’s creepily effective Sinister, it feels more like an unnecessary retread than an organic extension of the original. But it’s still one of the better found footage-gimmicked sequels in recent memory.

wasn’t as good as the first movie but i still liked it, i liked seeing it from the perspective of the kids, i didn’t like having all the ghost children appear so often though and the found footage parts were much worse, i love the deputy tho so i’m glad he was the main character

this film is not as scary as the original, but it still had its moments. the murder tapes were very disturbing, and bughuul was creepy. the story did feel a bit weaker, but it was still eerie and entertaining. it’s a solid watch for horror enthusiasts!

Sadly not as good as the first one but still enjoyable. The horror works really well and the jump scares were great. The acting was a little rough in some places. I like how it continues from the first and the domestic violence made the film feel quite raw. Still worth a watch

A perfectly watchable movie but one that through relying on redundancy, overexposure of the supernatural elements, and rushed character development, effectively kills all the tension and dread that was so prevalent in the first film
