This feels like they hijacked the first one only to inject and infect it with nonsensical propaganda and an almost pointless plot. Compared to the first, it's almost unrecognisable. The characters, the depth, the meaning, the themes, the script, the quality... Essentially, it's Sicario if it were a 'Fast and Furious' spinoff, with Vin Diesel playing Benicio. The US-Mexico focus is all over the place, and the pivots from the aims of its predecessor are 'muy loco'. Ultimately, it's a poor cash grab.

It was good but the first one was way better. Kinda confused at the end but i kinda get it i guess lol. It was just all over the place 6.3/10

Taylor Sheridan goat. He simply can’t miss. Not as good as first but still awesome

With a solid narrative and a fabulous performance by Del Toro, Brolin, and even Merced this film manages to stay as intense and engaging as its predecessor. Despite its slow pace it never put me into boredom. Its probably not as good as the first, but it’s a worthy sequel. 9.3/10

7/10 almost as good as the first. Felt like the story lost me a little is my only dislike. The rest is great like the first

Decent movie but pales in comparison to the first.
They sacrificed the style of Villenueve for mediocre action.
There is hardly any tension in this movie which is what made the last one.
If you really enjoyed BDT and Brolin in the first movie then this is worth a watch.
There are some interesting scenes nonetheless and I would watch a sicario 3 but I wouldn’t rewatch this ever again.

Del Torros character was dope in this one. Ending was interesting and open ended. This was 2018! We need a 3rd one stat

Need that third one to come out, this one ended on a bit of a dud if they don’t. Some more unbelievable scenes but great story and action nonetheless. I dig these. Brolen and toro are freaking dawgs

A good sequel but the first one is still better. But still, good flick.

Really enjoyed the pacing/intensity and thought it was building for a huge finale but kinda just ended and left me with questions. Apparently a sequel is in development.
