I really should've kept the title card in mind because, woah. Now I see why they want Villeneuve for the next Bond film. Great casting, especially with Benicio. Tense scoring, striking cinematography, and powerful storytelling. I expected a harsh atmosphere, given its focus on the ongoing US-Mexico drug war, but I didn't expect such an unforgiving, brutal deep dive in its exploration of justice, morality, and power. Every scene violently hurls out impossible ethical dilemmas at the cost of what all sides of any war exploit: innocence.

Some really Cool scenes but the whole story seemed like it came from the wrong angle I much would’ve rathered if it followed from Alejandro’s perspective.

Wow that dinner table scene! An epic story of the grips the cartel has on the crime world, and the extremes even the authorities will go to stop them.

Undoubtedly one of the coolest movies of all time. Benicio del Toro’s character is peak.

I loved the tense slow burn of this. I thought the pace was done so well not to mention the casting was so fucking great. What was explored in the movie was extremely interesting.
