Great movie. Great message. Uncomfortable watch 9/10. Shouldn’t come as a shocker but I don’t recommend it.

This was very interesting. I was kind of lost on what I was watching, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I think I missed the point of the movie and the characters; I’d need to see it again to understand better. I was waiting for something that never happened. Very thought provoking.

Michael Fassbender’s performance is so good it’s scary. It’s crafted well with a scorching look at sexual addiction. It can be a difficult watch and feel emotionally distant but overall it feels raw and real.

god what a sad movie. i believe i understood the overall premise of this movie but omg how insightful and depressing. so subliminal but right in your face? brandon is such a complex character and honestly deeply traumatized, the way his abuse was portrayed was so real holy shit

Once you sift past the sea of nudity, there’s actually a pretty compelling story of two broken people, unable to seek the help they need.

I find it great but unfortunately it’s just not my style but it is nonetheless and great film with great acting and great meaning. A very deep character study.

There’s a sense of emptiness that this movie portrays that i thought was really interesting to experience. Loved how real and down to earth this movie felt.

The only reason why I liked it is cause it was entertaining enough to keep my attention so I’ll give it that much.

I hate movies where they have people boning and put sad music over it to make it seem artsy. i’m fine with the sex it’s just the intellectualization of the sex is what’s pissing me off.

I didn’t really like this sister she served manic, pixie dream, girl and was annoying. I knew she killed herself. I just knew it. call me a professional movie watcher cause i knew.

if you’re one of those ppl who don’t fuck with unnecessary nudity DONT WATCH THIS. deadass cock and balls were the opening scene. not like I minded just be warned.

Brilliant performance and a subtle but interesting theme of the long lasting effects of trauma or abuse

I only like a portion of this film because of Michael Fassbender. The emotions he portrays along with everything else is just amazing and it shows how good of an actor he is.
This movie is pretty uncomfortable to watch most of the duration of it and it’s a tough movie to watch about an addiction that is pretty serious.
I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone and it’s not really a movie I’d watch on a daily basis but I think sometimes you gotta watch a movie that is out of your comfort zone to better understand the different genres out there and the different filmmaking techniques.

A harrowing, painful study on the banality and self-destruction of the modern world along with addiction. Fassbender delivers a top 5 performance of all time; so raw, bears all emotionally and psychically and just honest. A transcendent performance for an intelligent film.
