wtf is this

A film that makes me (like “I’m still here”) reminisce of a time that I never lived. And what’s so interesting about that is that the awful events happen in that time and the happy/closure events happen in present day.

The difference in color between present and past is insane, the past, vibrant, colorful and exciting. The present, muted, clinical and boring. That is genius.

The story is exceptional, and a film that is 160 minute long and makes it feel like a 90 minute film, that’s genius in pacing.

Performance wise, Wagner Moura is making me question my Oscar top pick, I’ll leave it to that

I don't even know what to say but boy I will.. it was SO BORING. omfg. they dragged it on and on and on. jesus christ half the dialogue was unnecessary and way too long. yes I understand you gotta build it up but they built up to NOTHING. it had potential. but wtf was that..

2:40 hours of film about a lot of nothing. I really liked the editing and the photography but the rest of the movie… At first I was enjoying it, but because it's so long it feels redundant and boring. In fact, I didn't even finish it, I was 40 minutes short.

big disappointment honestly. the plot made no sense, and what the fuck was with the leg? acting was fantastic though and the quality was there but the plot was just a huge let down 7/10

Fa, no me gustó. Esperaba tremenda película pero la verdad 2:40 eternas, tuve q verla en dos partes y un poco obligada a terminarla xq quiero verlas todas y darles oportunidad pero no me gustó nada, aburrida, los personajes feos, el guion malo, no la entendí, mareada, el final 👀

This film was just exceptional. From the story, to the performances, to the message, this film didn’t disappoint in any aspect whatsoever.

Wagner Moura was absolutely phenomenal. What a performance.

I swear I didn't look away from the subtitles once and I still didn't understand anything about the plot except a hairy leg that jumps around and kicks someone. good looking movie tho

Wagner Moura como sempre, representando a atuação brasileira. O filme tem um bom enredo e um visual memorável, uma mescla de Tarantino com Kubrick. Infelizmente senti a atuação muito distinta, apenas o Wagner consegue transmitir de forma natural.

This was an okay watch - I loved the backdrop of Recife in the olden days and how the colour grading was done well but the story did fall short. When I saw the part 1, 2 and 3 - I assumed that there will be a momentous buildup but there wasn’t 🫠😫

Stunning film and great performances, but a little long and slow for me.
