i KNEW it was gonna be the young guy, he seemed too sweet. i know infatuation when i see it. also loved the neighbor’s relationship with the mom, that was so cute.

a real cute love story and a pretty unorthodox main story line. cringed quite a few times, and i hate how awkward the mc is.. like she made every bad choice and said the worst things the whole movie. vivian has my heart and the moms a misunderstood baddie

Such a good movie. The simplicity and focus on characters made it feel like such a nice, down to earth, feel good movie. Loved the storylines, relationships and dynamics. Alice Wu has this perfect way of displaying the chinese culture in such a natural way, while also showing how much influence it has on the day to day life. Plus one of the few wlw movies with a happy ending
