I watched because of the casting, i thought couldn’t go wrong… i have no idea what i just watched. Couldn’t explain it to you 😅

It was quite good, especially for absurdist thrillers. Good global political commentary told through intentionally absurd metaphors and symbolism. Very entertaining, even though pacing could do with some work, but it certainly wasn’t detrimental to my enjoyment of it.

I liked that it was different, but I wasn’t as engaged as I would’ve liked. Though I thought Pines of Rome was a good add in the score

I did not enjoy this movie at all. I did not find it funny and I didn’t really feel like anything was happening. Starting to realize political satire is not my thing.

As a new mom with a three month old, I relish the opportunity to be able to watch a film now as the opportunities now are and dar between. With that , I would like to say, eff this movie and eff anyone who had anything to do with it you pretentious, self righteous terds. What a waste of my precious time.

A political satire with Cate Blanchett and Charles Dance? Yes, please. We are in what feels like such a dangerous time and the politicians who are supposed to reflect the people, don't seem to have the humanity or care we all need. The only way I feel better is by looking at what could be the positives or the humour behind how humans work. This movie has that. You get to see the workings of our leaders without the people. The facades and immaturity. My problem with this is the fact it's too smart. I couldn't understand or enjoy most of it and I wish I could without researching the whole thing. I'd only recommend it if you're deep into politics.

7/10 Gonna have to give it a rewatch to understand it better but Cate Blanchett had a seductive German accent

Wow! I’m not completely sure what I just watched. The performances were decent, but the story, the characters, and the dialogue were a mystery. Not a good watch.
