Despite the impressive fact that the entire film is set in one room, Hitchcock manages to let the audience to develop multiple narratives about the neighbors through Jimmy Stewart's lenses. His use of confining us in one apartment to control the viewers is storytelling brilliance

A very nice idea at the time, a creative lead actor, an excellent cast, and a simple, slightly strange but beautiful story that is worth watching.👍🏻🥹💔

Such a classic! It takes its time with a slow build-up, but I guarantee it’ll hook you once the suspense kicks in. There are plenty of memorable scenes, and the old-fashioned setting never made me lose interest for a second. And wow, what a gorgeous woman you are

I was just staring at Grace Kelly half the time

Mixing drama, with a bit of dry comedy, and the thriller elements to which Hitchcock had accustomed us, "Rear Window" is one of the best films of his filmography, and an interesting metatextual commentary on voyeurism.

Takes a little to build up but when it does, it hits

curious if hitchcock and stewart ever had sex behind the scenes? maybe an epstein connection there as well. just a random feeling

This movie is amazing. The settings, the performances, the story. One of the best movies in the history. But the best of the best… the beautiful and talented Grace Kelly.

I can see why it’s so impactful. I love the dialogue so much and the concept/subplots. I do think the ending was a little rushed for me but the creepiness almost made up for it

Have yet to watch a Hitchcock and enjoy it without almost dying of boredom and i usually love slow movies. Whatever makes people fond of his works is unfortunately lost on me

A technical masterpiece matched with the a masterclass in writing, a true undisputed classic that holds up pitch perfectly even today, the master of suspense is mastering his suspense so good, (yes I meant it like I’m marking it).

Rear Window remains a true masterpiece within film, its entire practicality along with its gripping originality that could never be done now, mainly due to it being the product of Sir Alfred Hitchcock. Rear Window will forever be a marvel within the art, a true perfect thriller.

1st Act 9.4/10 (Amazing start, too much sex, yes I just said that.)

2nd Act 10/10 (Thrilling from this point on and will not let go, not one single moment.)

3rd Act 11/10 (The master of suspense at his very pinnacle, truly a masterpiece within the thriller genre.)

Plot 10/10 (Only Hitchcock could make a Peeping Tom movie this fucking good.)

Soundtrack/Score 10/10 (Genuine heart-attack inducing, a master at his work.)

Acting 11/10 (An absolutely perfect performance from James Stewart, holy fuck he is a good ass actor.)

Pacing 10/10 (Not a single wasted second, felt like pacing of Green Mile in the way you wouldn't want to miss a single bit.)

Cinematography 11/10 (The end shot with the blacked out lighting, just impregnate me atp mate.)

Character Development 9.6/10 (Has you in your feels for characters that you haven’t even seen speak, are we deadass?)

Writing 11/10 (One of the greatest written thrillers of all time.)

Ending 10/10 (Such a fucking good ending, holy fuck was it good.)

Direction 10/10 (There’s a reason he’s called the GOAT, it’s this.)

Overall a 8/10. It was slow for a little bit but the third act was super engaging and it had an amazing ending.

8/10: An undeniable classic. The beginning is slow, and the ending wraps stuff up way too fast, but the camera work and framing is immaculate and the story is enthralling and memorable

I don't really know why, but this movie has made a special impact on me. Rear Window is a classic…it’s truly a genius movie…and I understand why. It’s an example that you don't need awesome locations & places in order to make a good movie. One of Hitchcock masterpiece’s !❤️👀
