Another take on the Hollywood Frankenstein. The first ten minutes were very captivating. The rest of the film was fairly predictable (with some uncomfortable nudity reoccurring throughout the rest of the film).

This movie’s like getting sprayed in the face with cheese whiz and that’s a great cheesy time. Re-Animator had its genuinely scary moments but is mostly played for laughs. Some parts that were intended to be scary near the end fell short. Very well paced, felt short.

Re-Animator is cheesy, stupid, and super over the top, but in all the right ways. The movie manages to be both funny and unnerving (and it has a wonderful score), but it does seem to drag a bit here and there despite its short run time. Still a fun watch though!

Very funny, good entertainment. I think this one is a bit of a diamond in the rough of cheesy horror films. I liked this one a lot, the effects are just great and the story is too. Obviously the acting sucks but whateryagonnado? Worth a watch if you like cheesy old horror films.

Read the story by Lovecraft this morning and now watched this cult classic that captures the spirit and over the top capmyness of the source material.

Liked the climax, but the sexual assault scene was NOT necessary. Soundtrack was epic though.

Really enjoyed this. Ive heard about the humor and agreed it was funnier than purposed and great effects

Very enjoyable for this type of film. Practical effects and humor knocked it out of the park. Not sure it does anything overly special with the story, but it’s entertaining nonetheless.

Awesome first half, …weird (in a not great way) second half. There were so many places this could have gone and it didn’t (+ places it did go which were so unnecessary) but Herbert and Dan are a bromance for the ages.

An alright fun watch.

I’ll start by saying it’s very 80s horror coded when directors thought they were being rebellious and shocking for showing naked women. It’s honestly pretty fun and entertaining by moment but it does have some flaws.
