Great movie with amazing acting by Jamie Fox. I don’t know anything about Ray Charles so I’m not sure how accurate this movie is but it was really entertaining and I feel like I learned a lot about him.

A masterful biopic anchored by Jamie Foxx’s career-defining, Oscar-winning performance. 🎹 He doesn't just play Ray Charles he disappears into him. It’s an electrifying, high-energy portrait that honors the music while unflinchingly exploring the man's demons and triumphs.

I liked most of the film but didn’t much care for the historical inaccuracies; changing the events around George’s death to make Ray look ignorant when he actually struggled and failed to get his brother out of the tub just seems cruel.

Ray

Wow. Foxx’s performance is extremely compelling and convincing. At times I rooted for him. At times I didn’t. I love the way the cigarette smoke floats in the air. I could listen to Ray say “ya dig?” a million more times.

Jamie Foxx being the role of Ray Charles was so so smart. i think this conveyed Ray’s life very well. you know the actor is good when you get PISSED TF OFF at their character, Ray definitely had his moments.
