- I’m a be honest this was going to a dislike if I didn’t find out halfway through that it was a biopic
- I still couldn’t give it a like tho because this mfer did not deserve a movie about himself he deserves jail time
- The actors played a great role of making me hate them lol

9/10 - Great film, really enjoyed it. What an amazing performance from Robert De Niro. It really shows why he’s one of the best actors to ever live. Can’t forget about Martin Scorsese either. Pure masterclass. The black & white worked really well for this film. So unique.

One of the greatest biopics and boxing films. Robert De Niro gives his greatest performance in this incredible character study.

Very popular but not as good as I was thinking it was gonna be. I really enjoyed how good Robert de Nero looked at the end of the film. The Acting was amazing but the story just didn’t work for me.

Good movie it’s like Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro did Rocky.
And if this doesn’t make you wanna se it than Watch it Joe Pesci was in it.

i’d recommend not to stop at the first impression: jake la motta has a deep evolution that goes beyond his sport. massive congratulations to de niro, that fits perfectly his role, and scorsese ofc

Great cinematography, great sound design, great editing, great movie

it’s about an underdog who never gets to win, and it’s not because of the people around him; it’s because of his own destructiveness, his aching need to be punished for all his sins. well, he got the punishment he wanted, all right. he’s still getting punished.
