First of all, Luca Guadagnino is one of my favorite directors… but this ain’t it.

It doesn’t really know where it’s going. Most of the second half was magical surrealism and it was a bit unnecessary, I kind of hate writing this because Guadagnino went hit after hit and then unfortunately this one came.

I can’t really blame it all on him though, unfortunately A24 which again, I love, is playing its cards improperly; what was once I very respectable indie production house which capitalized on the weird and bold with purpose, was then bought by a trust fund for billions and now needs to make money for them, the answer? Weird and bold without purpose.

Queern't
A disgusting junkie who needs therapy is obsessed with a cute guy. Doesn't end well. Gentrificación vintage.

A sad yet beautiful film about the human need for love and connection.

This was another great film by Luca Guadagnino. Two terrific films in one year, but they are both very different. This film is a lot more artsy and unique, which I really liked.

Daniel Craig is superb.

2024: A Gay Odyssey

Luca Guadagnino needs to stay away from whatever nightmare fuel he took while making this. I could understand "Challengers" and even "Bones and All", but this took the entire two-hour runtime to gather any idea, and the realisation might have hit me hard, but I wouldn't call it worthwhile. The first hour is more romance, but the second—I can't even explain. Other than the byzantine storytelling, the visuals were remarkable, with set pieces ripped straight from the pages of a book and effects that were both cheap yet effective. Overall, decent casting, but no performance worth rewatching.

Saw this on a flight, do not recommend sitting next to your grandma or anyone you know when you watch it

6.0/ I really want to say that I loved the movie, but it just wasn’t for me.. I really liked the third chapter, did it not was in the movie I would’ve rated it much lower. Lesley Manvilles acting was phenomenal, the sudden switch in vibe amazed me.

I can’t tell if it’s a mess or a masterpiece. Daniel Craig is phenomenal, and Jason Schwartzman is the best part of this movie. So much feeling in this film.

i really don’t enjoy a24’s style, i don’t rly want to see daniel craig choking out a sack of his heart

Perfect example of why gay actors should be cast as gay characters… this movie is not made for queer people, it was made to exploit the queer experience for the academies and awards that they probably will not get. Love the peen screen time tho

I really wanted to love this but it wasnt for me. The performances were amazing and there were some beautiful shots but I felt it went on for way too long. I preferred the first chapter to the last, I felt like it lost its way a bit.

I love a good “queer” movie but unfortunately this one wasn’t for me. While it has special qualities they are hidden in a mass of cliches and a boring pace. I give this about 5.5/10

9.5/10
this was so homosexual and amazing(forest)! that type of unrequited love so strong yet so far apart, the shame of being who you are, becoming vulnerable, and omar apollo

A24 loves to take an “A” movie and just destroy it in the last 24 minutes
