Pusher II
"Be a good example to your kid."
"Like you?"
"Yeah, like me."
Pusher II was more enjoyable to watch than the first movie. Tonny is a great character to follow which I knew he would be after watching the first one. While he is still selfish as Frank was, he still had people he cared for. He wanted to change for his son. He wanted to be a better father than his was.
I think it was a powerful scene when Tonny didn't kill
the innocent woman for his father's approval, but killed his father instead. He realized no matter what he did, his father would always hate him. It was kind of sad that there wasn't really a mention of Frank, but I just considered that as Tonny trying to forget his past.
While I would've liked to see more scenes of the fatherhood aspect of Tonny's life, I'm glad he was mad Charlotte didn't remove their son from the club. He obviously wasn't the best father, but he wanted to try. I'm glad he took his son and left. I hope he has a better life than the others.

Pusher II
So gritty. Love Tonnyโs portrayal. The emotions, the backstory, the struggles.

Pusher II
Not as engaging as the first, but Mads unsurprisingly sells it as an against type inept scumbag who'd rather keep risking his life with drugs than become a father. Lots of similar early shots that Refn later improves in Drive.
