super cool and fun family-friendly horror movie, it had a very nice nostalgic feeling and i loved the family and how much they cared about each other, my favorite part was the ending

Crazy shit

Really good effects especially considering it was made in the 80s. I feel like I can't talk about this film without mentioning a creepy scene of construction men swooning over a 16-year-old. Very telling of the culture at the time and what happened to Heather and how she died.

One of my favorite horror movies of all time

A classic for me. Recently rewatched are there some incredibly tense scenes. The blend of horror, fantasy, and comedy really work in this movie.
