It’s a very silly movie, but I wish they went even further with it. I honestly believe I could’ve been another Scott Pilgrim if they were just a little more committed! The first half was also unfortunately a bit rushed, I wished they took more time with it.

Cannot believe how South Asian this movie is, and yet, it managed to be something incredibly different and universal. It takes the marriage trope to a whole different level, throws in a whole twist I didn’t expect, and it’s just full of good writing and fun times.

The Bend it Like Beckham of this generation. Such meta comedy (esp if you’re south asian) and campy action. So surprised by how funny the writing was and can’t wait to watch again. Now THIS is the representation we want 👏🏾👏🏾

This movie is bizarre& hilarious but I LOVE it. I’m tired of the same old boring plots & movies that are afraid to be goofy. It was definitely unlike anything I’ve seen before & I loved the characters & the action. Ria’s actress is incredible & apparently did many of her stunts

this movie was so weird, so outrageous, but so fucking entertaining. the visuals, the costuming, the settings. it was such an absolutely awesome movie. the plot was absolutely insane, but so were the characters. i had a great time watching it.

A funny campy time. The writing is so campy but so fun it feels like Bollywood combined with old martial arts films. The plot is so weird but it’s the perfect kind of weird. The acting is a little meh but other then that it’s great. A fun time that never gets old.

I 100 percent thought this was going to be a simple coming of age movie. But it’s soo unhinged. 😂😂 And shout out to them for not making the parents cartoon villains. The parents actually were reasonable and supportive for the most part
