Nominated for 8 Oscar’s and won 4. One of the best war films of all time. Oliver Stone was a Vietnam vet and the realism of this film is too much sometimes and has a lot of trigger warnings throughout. Well done film.

Pretty brutal movie. Doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to brutal aspects of Vietnam war also, I didn’t even notice that Johnny Depp was in the movie till the credits

A work of art. A film that makes you understand why Charlie Sheen was on par with the biggest movie stars at that time

Idk shit about shit but I wouldn’t even attempt to make a nam movie after my dad stared in like the best one ever that clears every other nam movie. Like this was good but you’ll never be the blueprint diva. Willem Defoe so sexy beautiful huge natural no filler lips diva.

What more is there to say about this than has already been said? It is the quintessential Vietnam war film. War is hell, and this doesn’t shy away from that sentiment. Character work is compelling as well. Shows the depths humans can go to when pushed to the brink.

A decent war movie. Willem Dafoe is great, so many great actors early in their career.

I don't think it hits as hard as Full Metal Jacket or Apocalypse Now, but for an 80s movie, it's pretty good.
