Super realistic, look into the future almost.

Amazing!

This film holds up surprisingly well on a narrative level. And having not seein it since I was young, there are a lot of darker themes about human violence than I remember, creating much less of an us vs them and more of a classic tragic hero story. Excited for the this rewatch!

One of the most politically & philosophically rich films I’ve ever seen & the movie is literally people in ape costumes & makeup. The deep subtext & social commentary is what saves this film from being a dated 60’s Sci-Fi film & elevates it to a compelling, think-piece classic.

Absolutely not a perfect movie by any means, but it was interesting, creative, entertaining and overall good fun.

The flaws come in the writing, dialogue was ridiculous, love interest lifeless, ending was stupid.

I’d still say its worth watching thiugh even with its big faults
