I can’t believe this actually happened

This film holds up surprisingly well on a narrative level. And having not seein it since I was young, there are a lot of darker themes about human violence than I remember, creating much less of an us vs them and more of a classic tragic hero story. Excited for the this rewatch!

I must say that the beginning of this film is always rough, slow, and uneventful, but then it gets better and, by the end, it becomes a classic of world cinema. I really like it.

First film i’ve seen where the reboot was better than the original. Still a great film. Arguably the worst music score of all time though, hurt to listen to

The classic that started it all and spawned an timeless franchise. Easily one of the most iconic science fiction films ever.
