A difficult watch in some parts because of Ray’s treatment towards Colin. I understand it is a BDSM relationship but there was basically no consent involved. There was some comedic relief however and the acting was brilliant.

i was so upset at how ray just left him like that after giving him a day off it literally felt like giving a dog chocolate before putting it down tbh it might take me a few days to get over that but i loved that in the end collin found someone who wanted the same things as him

oh boy. this movie is 50 shades of gray for the 2020’s. abusive relationship using the framework of kink, but either the writers or the audience or both don’t/won’t realize that. emotionally stunted men with zero communication, boundaries, or aftercare. made me sad not horny.

Makes you uncomfortable but it captivating the whole time. Didn’t love the ending, not because I wanted Disney fairy tale happy ending but because we never really see Colin stand up for himself

the camping scene of alexander getting his friend’s bf to give him a gobbie in front of his own bf was triggering. Kind of loved the film overall, a story of coming into one’s identity through heartbreak

it was the most atrocious relationship I ever witnessed on screen, there was no charm or even a spark of love that was shown throughout the entire movie, and it's just so toxic.

i love A24 but what the hell was this, not even having a good message, Colin was extremely unhappy just to have good moments that weren't even good or ended up badly, WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU NEED TO PLEAD TO SLEEP ON THE BED AND HE SAYS NO.

An audacious and realistic journey into self discovery. It offers a thoughtful, non conformist view of power dynamics and kink that feels earned rather than gimmicky. While intense and tough to watch at times, the acting is excellent and the emotional payoff is solid. 9/10.

this movie was more than gay sex. it’s kind of sad how it was brandished as just that based upon review, but i think it spreads a beautiful message about self expression and connection. only reason I didn’t love it more is because the dick piercing was only shown once..
