Phenomena Reviews

not bad but also not good idk LMAAOO it’s a bit long and the reveal was pretty dumb but the ending was actually amazing and makes it worth watching at least once like this was such an experience for me inga is a BADDIEEEEEE 💅🏻🐒🙈🦍 i will never forget her 🤎

It’s really hard to find enjoyment in a movie whose music is so out of sync with anything else in the movie that you can’t figure out what the heck you’re watching. Contrapuntal music can work (see Reservoir Dogs), but this is a failure all around.

I’ll have to watch it again sometime when my brother isn’t screaming nonstop in the other room

I don't necessarily love this film quite yet, but it's getting a big upgrade. I forget how underrated Phenomena is when it comes to Argento. Jennifer controlling insects is weird but cool, and I love her companion, the monkey.

Dario Argento misses for the first time for me. The music choice in this was just absolutely garbage. There's one scene in particular where Connelly is creeping through the woods, and this techno beat starts playing and it took all the suspense away. Crazy ending tho

Decent, but questionable acting and pretty campy

incredible performance from the chimp

Watched this a while ago. Wasn’t very surprised by it

Ok, but why did she have to swim in the corpse soup for that long? And why did it have to be chunky?

Worst movie ever. Ew Ew Ew It’s been 8 years since my first watch and I am still traumatized

i liked about 30% of this movie. needed more bugs. 4/10 bc good soundtrack.

Interesting movie, somewhat soiled by absolutely helpless protagonist and supporting characters and some incredibly bad acting. Never seen worse chase scenes / screams in my life. Still compelling though.

lovely

Absolutely the peak of Italian dreamlike horror

she killed those people with bugs!?
