Confusing yet captivating exploration of the human psyche

My favorite film ever! Psychologically complex and continues to keep me thinking after every rewatch. Any movie that shakes the audience to its core and leaves you thinking after is high up there for me. Cinematography and symbolism make this a standout movie for me.

understandably hailed as one of bergman’s best, an intoxicating and fantastical journey through the human psyche. the performances are perfect as is the script and captivating imagery. masterful in its approach, clearly inspiring many of my personal favorite works

I was a little confused sometimes, but I like it. Great imagery, and a good topic. The film deals with the “persona” women must put on, or the facade they must portray in order to be understood in the world. I think it tackles it well and has some really strong performances. 7/10

first time watching a b&w film that's so beautifully shot. wow. this one left me MINDFUCKED and SPOOKED like Holy Shit ,, really
