Amazing as a stand alone film, if they didn’t say it was related to the book, I would have absolutely loved it. However, if we’re basing it off the book it’s nothing like the book at all.

As a movie on its own, it is good, this can be very enjoyable and Poker Face in the movie turned it even better. But remembering that it is meant to be based on the PJO saga it is disappointing seeing some 20 yo being some 12 yo kids and not being too loyal to the books

To my generation this is a classic. This movie covers a lot and balances it all really well. For it being a book adaptation it’s really good as well. The action, the comedy, the characters are all on point here. I can confidently say I enjoy this movie.

It was just so boring. I fell in and out of sleep by the end of the movie. The inaccuracies of this as an adaptation didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would (probably because we’re getting a new one anyway!!) but would’ve been better if it could actually stand on its own-

If this movie was original, it might be on the verge of being good. Instead, it’s based on a classic book series, and this film just doesn’t quite live up to its written counterpart. The book is just better in all regards, but that doesn’t mean this film is bad.

I have the same level of beef with this movie as Rick Riordan does. If you’ve never read the books it’s honestly not a bad movie but if you just skimmed the book a little bit you’ll know that this movie was a complete disaster. Kinda set up for failure when the books were amazing

I kind of mindlessly watched this last night. It was a little cringe at some points in the movie with the acting/plot but overall not bad.

NOPE. Worst Book-To-Movie adaptation ever! I was so disappointed, because the Percy Jackson books are literally the best and I love them… but the movie was totally a fail!

Loved this movie when it first came out be Logan Lerman and Greek mythology lol
