Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Amazing as a stand alone film, if they didn’t say it was related to the book, I would have absolutely loved it. However, if we’re basing it off the book it’s nothing like the book at all.

As a movie on its own, it is good, this can be very enjoyable and Poker Face in the movie turned it even better. But remembering that it is meant to be based on the PJO saga it is disappointing seeing some 20 yo being some 12 yo kids and not being too loyal to the books

good as a stand alone movie but not when compared to the book. it lowkey irritated me to watch this 😭

genuinely shocked at how bad this was, it’s been about a decade since i read the book but i really thought this would be more enjoyable. full of genre cliches with pretty decent visuals but super rough writing and acting. medusa was fire
