Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Amazing as a stand alone film, if they didn’t say it was related to the book, I would have absolutely loved it. However, if we’re basing it off the book it’s nothing like the book at all.

As a movie on its own, it is good, this can be very enjoyable and Poker Face in the movie turned it even better. But remembering that it is meant to be based on the PJO saga it is disappointing seeing some 20 yo being some 12 yo kids and not being too loyal to the books

Cool concept, wasted potential. ⚡🗡️ Feels more like “Harry Potter with Greek gods” than a true Percy adaptation. Fun-ish for newcomers, but book fans? Yeah, we’re still mad.
