I expected a standard spin-off, but watching the anxious Rex let loose in a wild bathtub rave totally won me over.

What Worked:
Walsh’s blocking in the tub is super dynamic. Using bath toys and neon bubbles as a club set gives the scene a tactile energy. Through my Methodist faith lens, seeing Rex bring joy to neglected bath toys beautifully reminds me that true fellowship means uplifting the forgotten. BT’s pounding electronic score also perfectly anchors the physical comedy and makes the sequence pop.

The Cuts:
The narrative flow really dragged for me at the beginning; the setup of toys mocking Rex stalls the momentum. Keeping it spoiler-free, the escalating water crisis joke gets repetitive, making the physical comedy feel one-dimensional. Plus, the climax cuts off super abruptly, skipping the immediate flood aftermath and leaving the resolution a bit half-baked.

Verdict:
A hilarious spin on a fan favorite. Perfect for energetic laughs, but skip if you need deep Pixar plots.

Line: “I’m Partysaurus Rex!”
