This was the oddest movie because it would have the most heartwarming moment immediately juxtaposed by a shockingly raunchy scene and then genuine drama and then another dirty joke but also the ending scene in the hospital made me cry!

I love how they balanced the comedy and heartfelt moments perfectly. I never thought movies like this would hit the right spot for me, but here I am. This is basically an ensemble cast that just works.

It had some pretty funny parts but it also had many parts where I was like god I hate everything about men bc of the blatant sexism
It’s weird to say a movie called parenthood is too baby focused but like why did every woman in this movie have to have a brand new baby by the end
It just felt strange dynamically and message wise felt like it was saying that a woman’s only role is to be a mother and that’s obviously not true
But I think I need to rewatch to make sure I’m not just overthinking or being overly critical

Nothing was solved, in the end everyone just accepted their shitty lives as is

Super relatable (since I have two girls). Reminds you that most parents are just doing their best. Good blend of drama and humor.

Larry is a deadbeat gambling father. Love everyone else tho. wholesome family movie

i dont know if i watched it while being sick or im just latin,but so much and they resolved it with having more kids? larry should’ve been locked,the red headed needed help with the kids,the best thing the teacher did was telling him she’s leaving,not my cup of tea

Heartwarming

Family drama. “Emphasis on DRAMA.” Some funny parts. Doesn’t make me envy parents.

What seems like a family comedy has a surprisingly poignant story about the trials and tribulations of every day life; A very funny and feel good comedy with an all star cast.

good messages that i’m sure i’ll appreciate later on a lot more
