Paranormal Activity 3

Leaving a review 10 minutes in because I just NEED to say… the parents in this are so… goddamn… FOINE. Genuinely didn’t know what to do with myself everytine Dennis came on screen. The eyebrows/beard… the hairy legs… the hung smile… my god I need more men objectified in horror.

Odd ending tbh.

I'm really getting tired of the style of this franchise, waiting around for hours aimlessly for a couple of jump scares. Same old boring story and structure every time, and u basically have to wait until the last 5 minutes to get to smth
I don't think I'll be watching the rest. 1/5

I wanted a good late-night scare to celebrate the original’s 17th anniversary. I like this; the 80s VHS vibe and that genius fan trick make it a super creepy standout.

What Worked:
• The DIY oscillating fan camera is a brilliant way to build massive tension.
• The two little girls deliver super unsettling performances I totally bought into.
• Diving into the family’s dark backstory gave the series wild lore I really dug.

The Friction:
• The finale escalates way too fast, losing the slow-burn dread that worked so well.
• Some loud noise jumpscares felt cheap and repetitive for me.
• A few supernatural effects near the end looked goofy and pulled me out.

Verdict:
I like this. Watch for creative, slow-burn scares. Skip if abrupt endings annoy you.
