Paranormal Activity 2 Reviews

It was good. Surprised it’s a “Before”

This movie is sooooo fire. While I think it’s better than the first one, I really appreciate how it was able to make me enjoy the first one more. It worked really well as a prequel, had some serious scares, and really fun found footage segments. That dad though? One of the worst.

I literally went into this saying to myself please don't be like the first one with a diff cast, and it was exactly like the first one with a diff cast.
A sleeping pill 💊.
1/5, mostly for the jump scares

definitely definitely better than the first! although these movies are slow paced you don't find yourself bored at all!

A step up from the first one which is cool because this one is a prequel to the first one. I thought this expanded upon what was already setup and gives a few good scares. Solid movie

4/5

Rated: 6.1/10 ⭐️

I wanted to watch the prequel’s lore to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the original. I like this; it builds on the original’s dread by adding a whole family.

What Worked:
• Security cameras are a genius way to make you scan the background for creepy stuff.
• Grayden really nails the exhausted, terrified mom energy.
• Tying the demon to a dark family deal gave it heavy mythos I totally dug.

The Friction:
• The pacing really dragged early on with way too many false alarms.
• The dad is so stubbornly ignoring the haunting it pulled me out.
• The scares felt like recycled tricks without adding anything fresh.

Verdict:
I like this. Watch for slow-burn scares. Skip if slow pacing annoys you.

Excellent sequel

filmin yarısında kadar hiç bir şey yok günlük şeyler bari hikaye ver son 30dksına her şeyi koyuyorsunuz olmuyor yani çok güzel ama başları sıkıyor olay yok çünkü anca kapı falan oynuyor ama son sahnelerin hakkını yemiyim oralar cidden güzel biraz ileri sarıp izleyin

damn, a lot better. Did not know there was a connected story, I really thought these were stand alone movies.

my favorite of the series, and the most rewatchable

elsker denne gyser

mag footage stuff nicht so

7/10 it’s pretty a full step up from the first. More of the same gritty camera scenes and classic jump scares again. Even on rewatch it’s good

I watched this as a teenager and it creeped me out so much it gave me nightmares…
