This movie is overly sentimental and not interesting. At all. How is this a Redford and Steep movie? What happened there. Why do people like this movie?

Africa looks beautiful, unfortunately the movie is about boring privileged white colonists

from reading some reviews, i thought i was going into some great, based on a real story, romance (especially after seeing this won an oscar) but in reality it felt like a movie about a situationship that didn’t move me.

i did enjoy meryl streep’s character, Karen and her personal arc with her farm, but that was about it

kinda bummed, i was hoping to really like this

40 years later still very watchable

Nominated for 11 Oscar’s and won 7. Meryl Streep and Robert Redford? Love them. But, this movie is very slow and I probably wouldn’t watch it again. The cinematography was breathtaking.

i thought it was beautiful and well acted but i really did not fuck with it. i then realized this was just made for a completely different audience and that’s okay.

It was ok. Felt very long. Will most likely never watch again.

A long love story - very pride and prejudice in Africa-y.

One of my favorite movies of all time. I keep coming back to it when I feel low.
Movie about friendship, desires, life difficulties and love. It’s real, not sweet. Definitely a must watch if you consider yourself a movie enthusiast
