Cute little story about overcoming a very rational fear of the dark. Kind of felt like Inside Out - instead of emotions there are “night entities” that hold duties to help people sleep, or keep them up. Gets a little jumbled towards the end with the time traveling, but overall 👌🏾

Orion and the Dark
I love storytellers telling stories about stories and storytelling. The animation and soundtrack felt refreshingly energetic. Especially with the beautiful visual imagery. The story itself turned into too much too fast, but I can't complain because the messaging was wonderful, I think. Although being targeted to a younger audience, I don't think many kids would like this for the creepiness. Some designs and ideas were a lot better than others, but all in all, I'd say the writing, voice acting, animation, and soundtrack made this a fun watch.

SUCH a cute story! I loved the design and the idea of it. The little boy Orion being scared of nearly everything is still relatable as an adult, and I liked to see how he overcame his fears. The meta part of the movie, being a story told over generations, added a lovely note

7/10 it’s not ground-breaking but I feel as though it’s an inside out for the dark it is an definite watch though. i would recommend this movie

cons: predictable plot, limited appeal toward adults
Ending Scenes ruins the whole enjoyment of the film & it's story, I pointing to plot that includes future

Orion and the Dark
For a TV Y7 movie, they got away with A LOT OF STUFF. But, I got to admit, sleep using “magic chloroform,” suffocating people with pillows, and knocking people out with a hammer had me rolling and how she kissed them after😂. Also, the last few minutes didn’t make any sense, 5/10

My son and I watched this last night. It was really cute. I really like Netflix kids movies over the adult ones they make like that trash Saltburn.
