i do love a shitty rom com

There’s no more slow burn in romance movies is there…
I feel like it tried to be 2 diff things at once:
1) A film that’s a little ridiculous & doesn’t take itself seriously 2) a serious movie w an actual business plotIdk if I explained my thoughts correctly but it didn’t work imo

Tried to watch - language way too bad

7/10- it’s a JLo movie, we already know how it is but surprisingly funny and I really watched it to see Brett Goldstein. He’s so cute

Usually like JLo movies, Couldn’t even finish it. Made me sad when I learned Brett Goldstein wrote it

god jlo looks good but the writing made me want to puke

The characters were caricatures but I can’t resist a JLo romcom and I never will 🙃

I felt absolutely no chemistry in this

It was so boring I turned it off after watching half of the movie. The story and dialogues were just basic and the whole film was just about s@x in an office setting.

1/10 So yeah, it was pretty bad, and whoever wrote this script should probably find a new career path

Mehh, it was just okay. Predictable as expected, but the relationship wasn’t really believable and the excessive swearing was unnecessary.

Somewhere between meh and liked. I wish the jokes were more witty and less explicit scenes like a literal vagina with a hairy baby’s head.

One thumbs down is not enough - I hate this and I hate Netflix for making it. I wish I could sue

As a keen follower of Ted Lasso, I was instantly drawn to the prospect of a romantic comedy penned by Brett Goldstein. Although I have not historically been the most dedicated follower of Jennifer Lopez's work, her established talent as a romantic comedy lead made the strength of this pairing an immediate selling point for Office Romance.

Although the plot follows a traditional romantic comedy formula, the film is thoroughly enjoyable. The electric chemistry between Goldstein and Lopez easily explains the media speculation surrounding their off-screen relationship. It is a light-hearted, charming and witty watch, making it the perfect choice for a relaxing evening. The entire cast delivers strong performances, with Betty Gilpin’s character, Sydney, standing out as a particular highlight. It was also a pleasant surprise to see Rick Hoffman, marking a welcome return to the screen since his memorable role in Suits.

I find myself enjoying romantic comedies increasingly these days, and Office Romance is certainly a worthy addition to that watch list, offering a thoroughly entertaining viewing experience!
