Unexpectedly amazing. An underrated must watch

super trippy movie, feels oddly familiar.
“grotesque cow” 🐮 was my favorite line lol. mike flanagan never misses with his work.

I haven’t watched a Mike Flanagan project that I didn’t walk away amazed by. He has obvious signatures, but things don’t feel repetitive. This movie was amazing from the plot to the acting to the cinematography. His use of foreshadowing always gets me. The actors in this movie-

Pretty good. Cliche in the beginning. Really picked up in the second half. I loved the parallels and flashbacks to their childhood. The kids were the highlight of the movie for me; their acting was great. The end was sad and made me tear up. Not scary. Great twists. Enjoyed it!

karen gillan is a phenomenal actor but this was underwhelming on the second watch. a great haunting story but kinda falls short w explanation and a pretty shitty predictable ending. knocked down from love to like 7/10

The whole movie has you questioning whether each action was real or a manipulation by the mirror. Amazing ending and a good rewatch due to the easter eggs

it was more psychological, but the tingle of horror in it really did play with my mind and offer vast possibilities of all perspectives. the ending really crushed my heart, though.

Kinda dumb, especially towards the end. The plot and storyline had potential but it wasn’t scary at all.

I’m pissed

I mean just a good ass movie. Not particularly scary but very upsetting for the majority of the movie and an incredible concept. The fact that everyone involved is an unreliable narrator makes for such a fun experience of not knowing what’s real or not. So many twists that really pay off. And some pretty gruesome scenes. I loved it.
