Guy has a mental illness and everyone thinks he makes stuff up, so when he sees a lady get kidnapped in an alley the cops sort of ignore it.

He has no friends so he knocks on his neighbor's door. Neighbor is a grumpy former college security guard who hates everyone and just wants to gamble at online poker.

Guy begs him to play detective with him, neighbor says no, then says fine but this is stupid.

They drive around being bad at investigating, follow clues police didn’t find, argue the whole time, and almost get killed.
