It’s like watching ‘Back to the Future’ for the first time again but it’s also just two best friends making a movie together because why not. I felt like I had known these guys all my life, this was just so heartwarming and incredibly fucking funny and wholesome and their attention to detail was crazy and the way they replicated not only the story plot points of ‘Back to the Future’ but the soundtrack too. This was great and made me tear up.

This feels like if me and bro just made a movie with a budget of $20. Absolute peak 🙌

Only watched this due to the number of recommendations it got, and unfortunately, I'm less likely to recommend it further. I haven't watched the show, nor do I know any of the cast members, so that might have been my issue with why it didn't hit. However, the humour in general just wasn't my type. I couldn't get into any of the personalities, and the runtime was just too long. Regardless, it's a major hit with fans, so I guess it does some things right.

Aaauuugghhh I hate themmmm I hate them I hate them. If they don’t make another season I’m gonna lose my fucking mind. IM GONNA GO CRAZY. They are disgusting the way the act is disgusting. Watch the show you’ll know you don’t even see the breadth of the SICK and TWISTED way they treat each other in this. Horrible.

Incredible. Had the time of my life watching this; every joke landed, genuinely moved, inspired by the story/production and so many moments left me questioning how they did that, don’t know the last time I ever thought that. Unbelievable film.

Just saw this at a Monday mystery surprise movie and it was nothing like I expected it to be. It was so much better than anticipated and being from Toronto and a back to the future fan, I felt like this movie was made for me and anyone like me. I highly recommend going into this movie blindly and just enjoy the ride!! I love this type of independent filmmaking and how a bizarre idea of 2 best friends can make such a great fun film!

I can see the crowd for it and the appeal here and maybe I’m not tapped into the lore here, but it wasn’t for me.

So dumb. So, so fun. It’s the classic trope of a friend maturing out of a relationship with a childish friend but extremely well executed and inventive and just so fun. So dumb. Haven’t had such a good laugh for a while.

Finally got around to watching this and for someone who’s never seen the show, had no clue what he was getting into I absolutely loved it!!
I loved their chemistry and how wacky with bits of pop culture it was. And some of the shots were really impressive with it being just handheld cameras shot with a budget.

I’m not sure why but this didn’t capture my attention the way I thought it would. Many of the jokes were hilarious, but the style and format didn’t translate to long form for me personally. I do absolutely understand why the show is so beloved though.

Impossible to fully live up to the rave reviews, but still clever & fun. The coolest aspect is the hazy line b/t when something is scripted/acting & when it's someone's real reaction/improv. I do find movies about friendship most charming when they’re less crass than this.

A fresh breath of air in the comedy scene.
Goofy, fun, with maybe even a bit of heart.

how the fuck did they make this? what a brilliant way to adapt their humor and style to the big screen, matt and jay will forever be indie filmmaking legends. insane camera-work, vfx, writing, music, this is really the whole package. borderline genius; hopefully we’ll get more
