It wins me over with its confidence in restraint. The final thirty minutes deliver a brutal, satisfying payoff that justifies the slow burn. Strong performances from the lead & sheriff anchor the tension, proving smart atmosphere & character work can elevate modest budget horror.

Good camera work and direction. Ending was good but a bit clunky. Big downside was that Pamela Vorhees-ah reveal; thankfully not as egregious though as it had a wee bit of set-up.
