Night of the Reaper

It wins me over with its confidence in restraint. The final thirty minutes deliver a brutal, satisfying payoff that justifies the slow burn. Strong performances from the lead & sheriff anchor the tension, proving smart atmosphere & character work can elevate modest budget horror.

I was surprised at how good this was. Not the main cop, but his deputy is like the worst actor in the world. You just have to push through his scenes but otherwise it’s a solid horror movie with a very strong 80s vibe

Awesome movie about a serial killer that makes snuff movies of his victims.

Had something (kinda) good going for it, up until that idiotic reveal. Cat-and-mouse chase but make both parties stupid.
