The Samoan culture and music was amazing. But they literally built 2 characters throughout the whole movie. They needed to put less time In Jaya and more time into the whole team.

My second watch and this film was even better. It’s a film about grief and getting a second chance. Michael Fassbender is fantastic and its well directed. Super underrated movie.

Waititi’s shtick runs thin, and there are badly misguided moments, but this is still a warm, heart-mostly-in-the-right-place portrait of a momentously poor sports team.

It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting but it’s still good. Pretty short movie and because it’s a true story it makes it more fun to watch, and I loved learning about the team and what they had to overcome to reach their goal.

6.6 - Pretty standard formulaic, feel-good sports story that seems to mostly know what it is. Some definite issues for me, but mostly outweighed by the good in the supporting cast, especially Kaimana who stole the show for my theater. I liked it but expect more of Taika.

A cliche, but quirky and endearing soccer movie with a misleading title and way too much focus on a trans character. Its comedy also tries way too hard to score just 1 goal.

Amazing film. Funny, feel good and a great story. Will recommend and watch again. Even if you don’t like football you will love this film.

funny movie. reminded me of Mcfarland USA. walked my 10k steps while watching it. also some of those guys were fineee lol.
