New Year's Evil Reviews

Dead meat really prompts me to go out and watch some amazing underrated films - a great classic early slasher

a quaint little holiday themed slasher
i think it’s fun to have the killer putting on a bunch of different personas, as if he’s becoming a new person for his new year resolution
i think it could’ve went harder with the story and the themes of misogyny but it was still a good time

Pretty basic 80s horror but I liked the plot quite a bit. Wish they went a little bit more into Dereck’s character he was so odd

It’s def not the best slasher but it’s a unique idea and not that bad
