Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion Reviews

Destroyed me for about a week following my first viewing. A fitting end to one of the most complex shows I have ever seen. On its own End of Eva is a gruesome story that torments the viewer in the best possible ways. Truly one of the best to ever do it. 4/5

This ending was written as a alternate ending to shoe fans what it’s like to not grow as a person and change but to resort to fantasy and myths.
I personally like the original ending more because it completly changed my life

pretty good. this played at mjr which is infinitely better than my tv or laptop. shinji makes a few funny faces. probably one of the coolest looking films

Incredible movie to follow up the show had me sucked in, but fr someone need to beat Shinji’s ass and show him in his unit.

wow. this whole story is a beautiful contrast and intertwining of human ingenuity and religion. i certainly could not put into words how it made me feel nor what it truly means and i think that’s exactly how it was meant to be viewed. again nothing i can write will truly surmise my feelings about this, nor do i think they ever will, no matter how many times i end up rewatching the show and this movie. no film has ever made me think or feel as much as this, and i just wish i could describe it more adequately, because it deserves it. i find myself feeling as though i need to add more to this review but i am just truly lost for words. just wow. this really did something i never knew a story could do, and it’s leaving me questioning everything around me, and everything i’ve ever watched, every interaction i’ve ever had, and what the meaning of all of it was. i wish there were more but in no way does that mean i am unsatisfied. i’ll be in shambles for weeks, undoubtedly, but i will always be grateful for having had the opportunity to experience this story. maybe when i rewatch it i’ll be able to better describe how it does the things it’s doing to me right now. i truly believe this is the epitome of storytelling.

Good add on to the Evangelion series. I don’t really have much to say on it but I do like how it stays on topic from the series. Watch if you could handle the series.

Personally I think the underage nudity really keeps this from being higher in my rankings because it’s hard to enjoy something with that kinda stuff in it but outside of that 10/10 masterpiece

Just as the series, amazing. It explains how the instrumentality of humanity works and why. It’s a nice addition to the series. 100% recommended if you want to understand more of the story.

really strong conclusion to the story of the evas and the characters i grew so fond of - the animation was so daring in this movie and took astounding risks that i think were uber successful and paid off

Just rewatched this in theaters for the 30th anniversary, and I gotta say I loved it a way more on my second rewatch, granted I was half awake the first time so I was barely paying attention. I found it a lot easier to follow and not as confusing as before. Btw Amazing visuals.
