Incredibly thought provoking and full of Miyazaki’s signature charm, this is quite possibly one of Ghibli’s very best films. I miss this type of art style. I don’t hear people talk about this one enough and that’s a damn shame. This was brilliant. 9/10

Where’s the 1984 version

Cute and classic not much to say about it, if you’re interested you should watch it there’s really no reason not to.

The animation is a little different then more recent Ghibli films and I LOVED IT. It was made in the 80s, but truly ahead of its time thematically. The style/vibe (idk) of 80s animations are so comforting anyways, but the storyline holds up even better now. V enjoyable
