A wickedly disturbing story on grief and guilt. I can tell this was a book because that plot gave me some of the best thrilling I've had all year. A stress induced nightmare, from the very start to the very end, nothing works out the way you expect it. Hathaway and Chastain do an amazing job. I honestly couldn't keep my eyes off the subtle expressions that tell so much yet so little. The 1960s aesthetics are crazy good, the cars, the costumes, the soundtrack, you can barely tell it's low budget. Also, I liked how every character was up for judgement, based through the lens of mothers.

I loved it! The two main actresses are phenomenal. The ending was also very juicy!!

this movie was tortuous yet predictable at the same time. overall entertaining and pretty intriguing watch. nothing was pretentious or overdone

If you want to be stressed out then this is the movie for you 😂. This was a very suspenseful dark thriller. Both them witches is crazy. I never rooted for the villain in a movie before but this one I most definitely was. Amazing job to Jessica and Anne.

I was not expecting that at all

Loved the colors in this film and how representative the female characters’ wardrobe were to their mental state. The pacing made me uncomfortable because you wonder what’s about to unfold after the accident. I felt bad for Celine, but girl did you have to do ALL THAT??!

first of all anne hathaway and jessica chastain in the same movie is lowkey golden BUT wtf did i just watch bruh ???? all of this shit could’ve been prevented and this bitch is crazy no shade

Watched this movie with my sister on the plane but couldn’t hear anything BUT HOLY it’s so good. Anybody complaining about the ending clearly has never not gotten their way.

the thing with remaking an admittedly good film is that it must be extraordinary, otherwise it falls short. even w/the brilliance of C & H (H was insane in this), it fell short 🤷🏽‍♀️ maybe it's because the surprise effect wasn't a surprise 😆

mother’s instincts is such an impressing movie, i didn’t expect to enjoy it this much.
everything about it was great, the symbolism, the colours and the facial expressions of anne hathaway were sooo good.
and the MULTIPLE plot twists??? amazing.

Great build up, good ending.

Such a good psychological thriller! The suspense, twists, and performances kept me interested the whole time. It was a little slow at times, but the ending made it worth it. Definitely enjoyed this one and I highly recommend it.

5/10 Grief/Gilt/Betray. Well delivered and acted piece from book to screen. No surprises, it play out as expected although still an interesting watch. Recommend.

I had a feeling I knew how this was going to end, and I was right. Insane. There were some moments that made me go “maybe I’m wrong”

The story is a little simple, some topics could have been touched upon more or sooner. Some things that are never given closure.
