Okay, I wish there was a “Meh, BUT-“ option—the witch is FANTASTIC! Absolutely steals the show and is almost worth the watch just for her. The other two I felt were borderline painful to watch, so there’s that. Wanted to like it more than I did—this the main issue was motivation on the main character and her father’s parts.

It’s somewhere between meh & like. The witch is great. Solid story, background. The daughter-dad dynamic is off. The why of the daughter is surface level, not much beyond that. Has potential; needs refined.

whole lotta nothing + horrible acting

The poetic and Gothic anesthetics initially drew me in from the beginning. The lore of the witch kept me intrigued and the atmosphere really made the film. The soundtrack was a nice touch.

4/10 god it’s so slow. Too slow for me, it finally had an interesting turn in the last 20 minutes. But it wasn’t even worth the build up

The first hour just kills me. After 1:15 it starts to get going somewhere but then it ends; Its for vibes. The lines were weird sort of like a confusing poem. Some shots were pretty but lingered a lot, could have been edited better and didnt need such a long screentime #coolwitch

I’m honestly split between me and like on this movie, but I went ahead and went with like. It’s got an interesting story, but I really wanted it to go somewhere more than it did. Then the movie just kind of ends. It’s a slow movie that can keep your attention, but don’t expect anything major to happen in it.
