One of the few mother and son films that explores different themes/ideas. It’s worthy of it’s praise, not to mention an enjoyable yet incredibly interesting plot

A mother’s unconditional love can go so far, far enough to block ones sense of reality. The second half of this film is really where it gets interesting and all the themes start coming together. One of the most fascinating mother son films I’ve seen.

Bong Joon Ho is just incredible. This movie does a great job of slowly building and you’re not entirely sure what direction it’s heading. And then suddenly in the final quarter of the movie, everything becomes clear. Great movie

what a bong hit; an incredibly tight and enjoyable modern noir film that’s right behind memories of murder in quality. gorgeous visuals and beyond dedicated performances with off-kilter humor and a surprising conclusion that would keep anyone guessing

This was a good movie and the way the story was presented was really cool, but I didn’t love this movie. It was really good and I still recommend it but it’s not my favorite by Bong Joon-ho

The standalone favorite of mine amongst Bong Joon-Ho’s worthy catalogue. A story that stretches far beyond its premise of murder mystery, exploring right from wrong when protecting the ones you love. How far is too far? Brilliantly written plot start to finish
