Wanda Sykes is the actual star of this movie, and you can’t convince me otherwise (although an argument could be made for gay roommate Adam Scott).

There fighting was hilarious. The best part was definitely Ruby (Wanda Sykes) she carried this movie. The mom was just butting in too much and needed to be knocked down a step. Although her antics kept me entertained. At least they made up at the end and the mom was nicer.

This could’ve easily been a funny movie given the concept had it been executed properly. It’s just another typical outdated mid comedy from the 2000s

I really enjoyed this movie. It’s one of my mom’s favourites and I can see why. I however don’t like how they made the ending so quick where they forgive each other just like that. My favourite character is definitely Ruby. I mean Wanda Sykes, hello!

Great rom com with a great cast! Jane Fonda is excellent in this role, really embodies the nightmare mother in law. Sykes is hilarious! JLo is actually bearable in this movie, believe it or not, although her “sweet girl” acting can be cringey🥴

This is a rom-com classic. Jane Fonda and Wanda Sykes are hysterical. JLo does a great job. You can watch it a few times and you’ll still laugh.

One of my favorite comedies... Great acting, especially Jane Fonda. The film hilariously depicts the disputes between the mother-in-law and the future daughter-in-law.
