Wanda Sykes is the actual star of this movie, and you can’t convince me otherwise (although an argument could be made for gay roommate Adam Scott).

There fighting was hilarious. The best part was definitely Ruby (Wanda Sykes) she carried this movie. The mom was just butting in too much and needed to be knocked down a step. Although her antics kept me entertained. At least they made up at the end and the mom was nicer.

This could’ve easily been a funny movie given the concept had it been executed properly. It’s just another typical outdated mid comedy from the 2000s

4/3/26 I enjoyed this movie more than I thought i would . I got some laughs and happy cry . Jane Fonda was wonderful to see Jennifer Lopez was a well rounded character and Wanda Sykes brought the movie home
