Mononoke the Movie: The Phantom in the Rain Reviews

Blink and you might miss a unique frame out of a bjillion in the movie because there are just an insane amount of cuts in this. The extremely busy & vibrant art style is supposed to make you feel on edge, sometimes creepy but it never scared me at any point. Nothing is slowing…

Maybe one of the most visually stunning/stimulated pieces of art I’ve ever seen. I had to watch it twice before I fully understood the story and all of the symbolism that’s packed into this film, but I loved it the first time and enjoyed it even more the second.

Absolutely perfection❤️

90 minutes of eyegasm

The animation for this is so cool and it’s even dialed up a level from the show. The story was interesting enough and I enjoy the “medicine sellers” character a lot

One of the most stunning, eye catching films I’ve seen! The animation flows so nice especially when it gets intense. The colors complement the art style so well which makes it hard to look away. Not at any point does it get boring-if anything, it draws you in more. 10 popcorns

i found the anime to have better storytelling than this movie, but the animation and colors and characters made it just as compelling and interesting. (Kame was super annoying to me)

that was weird to me

very good but also very confusing quite trippy must always have your eyes on screen but i loved how colorful it was and how unique the scenes were

such visually stunning story. I didn't understand it for some moments, but caught up pretty quickly

LOVED the animation style, it’s by far the best aspect of the movie. It is also accompanied by a great character design so it’s a great move to lay your eyes on. Also it doesn’t get boring at any point so extra points for that. Didn’t like that is really confusing at some points.

awesome show i love it so much

100/10 should of watched it earlier!!!!
