7.2 - I know right now I need a second watch, because regardless of the IMAX screen & the loud action, I was way too tired at my 11pm showing to fully lock in for the first hour or so.

When this was just a clip show of the other 7 movies I watched over the last week, I was not feeling it. But in the back 2/3 when it turned into classic MI big action & decent suspense I enjoyed myself for the most part.

I wish some of the new characters got more time. I still don’t love the idea of “The Entity” as much as I did more of the non-faceless villains, but this story rounded it out a bit better. I’m split on how much I liked some of the revisited stories, referential twists, & some of the semi-forced callbacks.

Overall, I think it’s a serviceable & clean closure to a 30 year story that does what it can (or does too much?) to be accessible to new fans, but it’s unfortunately near the bottom of the MI series as a whole.

Way better than part 1. Good writing, fun story. Intense, nonstop action, plane scene surpassed my expectations. A great ending to one of the best movie franchises of all time… but is it the end? They definitely left the door open for more.

Plot is nonsense and first half of movie is legitimately boring. I’m not convinced anyone cares for the characters or plot in these movies but it doesn’t matter because Tom Cruise is the last movie star (yeah I said it) and the action is awesome. Few legit jaw dropping sequences (one underwater segment is sooooo cool) make this worth seeing in theaters. Good movie? Not really. Great and fun watch if you’re into this kind of thing and know what you’re getting into? You bet 🎯

I can barely comprehend what to feel. I'm jealous of the IMAX viewers, devastated that this is the last, amazed at what I just witnessed, and impatient for what Tom Cruise does next. You can really feel the franchise's 'impossible' foundations of sci-fi, politics, and action peak way back up again. The threat level is beyond 'airborne', and the thematics run as deep as the 'seafloor'. The AI narrative felt somewhat Dune-inspired, and sure, the writing isn't perfect, but it never has been. As a whole, it makes sense, and the execution of stunts, sequences, casting, characters, score, and cinematography had me locked in entirely. They truly accomplished the mission of all missions, and love it or hate it, the fans get it.

Nevertheless, when all is said and done, Final Reckoning still stands as a memorable and fitting completion of one of mainstream cinema’s most popular, exciting and entertaining journeys.

10/10 a great follow up, “My mission should I choose to accept it” was to watch 2h 50mins without going to the toilet - I accepted. great ending to TC “Ethan Hunt” leading the role until it’s handed over to the next generation…. At no point was this too long. Defo recommend.

I’m man enough to admit when I made a mistake. So bored I’m writing this during the film. Too much plot, convoluted, long, poor action. So much gaslighting abt the entity. Falls short of Dead Reckoning (Part 1). Too much pandering in cast too. Wtf was that plane scene to end.6/10

This is mission impossible. Tom cruise is insane, he knows how to make a cinematic experience. They did it, what a way to end this franchise. Fantastic culmination of all MI movies. Stacked cast as well

An engrossing movie with such thrilling action scenes that kept me on edge and blew my mind. The actions scenes were high octane and gives you adrenaline and makes you feel like you are doing the impossible too. A good way to finish the franchise, better execution perhaps. 10/10

I do have to mention that the amount of plots in this one is quite a lot. It keeps you on your toes but it can be stressful at a certain point. Well that's the thrill of Mission Impossible for you
