Mission: Impossible III

I’m slowly doing a rewatch of MI movies. After watching this, I can see this movie was the true start of the franchise. 1 & 2 were very basic in storytelling but this film made the series worth coming back to year after year

Solid action and imo better than the previous movie

Hoffman is a fantastic actor

I really liked the intensity of this one and it’s mainly due to Philip Seymour Hoffman’s performance. He’s one of the more memorable M:I villains. The only thing that I didn’t really like were the disorienting shaky cam and fast edits during some of the action scenes

Having watched three Mission: Impossible films now, each one improves in quality and excitement, and the third is no exception. I was thrilled to see Maggie Q, Billy Crudup, Michelle Monaghan and Jonathan Rhys Meyers join Tom Cruise and Ving Rhames for this outing. This cast is now the best in the series so far as I continue my exploration of the franchise. The performances from everyone involved were truly stellar throughout.

The story in this film was just as exhilarating as its predecessors. Towards the end, I genuinely thought Julia was done for, but was pleasantly surprised by how the plot unfolded. Julia’s ability to take out those two at the end without any prior gun experience was impressive. Get her on the IMF team for Ghost Protocol!

I’m really looking forward to the next instalment in the franchise. I’m thoroughly enjoying it so far and can only imagine it getting even better as the years go by with more impressive quality. A must watch!
