The acting and the singing are both fantastic in this show. It’s definitely not a happy musical by any means but it’s still done so well and a fantastic watch. Keep in mind that it is not linear so it can be confusing if you’re not paying attention but it’s done really well.

I knew nothing about the show going into it. So it took a while to get into it. Friendships can definitely change and so can dreams. Interesting telling backwards too.

Some fun songs and the performances were great. But the story’s ending only disappoints within its storytelling device.
Also direction felt a bit too close for a live recording. Never letting any of the sets or performances breath.

Loved it! Wish I had gotten a chance to see this on Broadway!

Did not enjoy this one. Excluding acting, everything was a bit average and sub par to me. Mostly monotonous songs. Dull set design. Avg baseline story. Also really irritated by filming closeups. It’s a stage performance, show the entire set with occasional close up

The rest of this could have been trash and I’d like it for Daniel Radcliffe’s performance of Franklin Shepard, Inc. alone.

It’s not trash, but I found it pretty boring and too long.

I love musicals and the story of this one really hit me. I loved it. It was also fun to see Radcliffe take a turn at Broadway.

The leads are amazing, and I enjoyed the story… it’s just I was soooo bored with the music. Nothing was really captivating about this being a musical.

they all should’ve won a tony for this

Wasn’t all that interested in this, but as a theater person, I felt obligated to watch. My favorite part was that adorable little boy.

With the exception of our leads, I think theater acting has gotten so cheesy/fake, more than it should be. Side characters had no realism.

Expected a lot more from a Sondheim musical. The nonlinear way of storytelling was definitely something interesting and original but the story itself felt a bit boring and repetitive

Having seen the actual play with the cast in NY this was obviously not the same but glad I can rewatch this cast’s performance anytime I want now. Also loved sharing the show with my sister by watching this in theaters.
