Pretty good movie, performances were great and the plot was oddly unique. Bob Hoskins was great, though there’s this one scene where his accent slips. Hated Joe only because he was given no personality but maybe there was a reason for that…

This is in fact NOT a movie about literal mermaids (I can’t have been the only person who thought this first watch…). The entire cast is iconic. Emotional rollercoaster. Prevalent themes. Age gap super problematic but when I was 15 I totally would’ve done the same shit 😭
