the movie is good but i have ptsd because my sister would watch this movie EVERY DAY. the amount of times ive had to see that fatass kid devour that chocolate cake is traumatizing

I grew up on this movie. One of my all time favorites but I’m also quite traumatized by some of the scenes- I used to have nightmares of being forced to eat cake and I used to hate chocolate cake. But I have overcome chocolate cake is my favorite. Good movie but wait until like 9

This quote really hits home for me since I deal with this struggle every day. The movie brings back so many important life lessons that I know I should be applying but often forget. I've watched it way more times than I can count, I can’t recommend it enough; to watch by yourself or with your family. 💝

8.2/10 It such a imaginative classic. The casting is remarkably perfect. With Danny devito not only directing but also acting in it proves how great he is. The film’s dialogue takes risks, showing the intelligence and imagination of Matilda.

I think this is literally one of the greatest childhood movie to ever exist, it's so innocent, funny and pure all at once.

Loved this movie so much I’ve seen it many times and can’t wait to show my kiddo.
